There are a plethora of choices for the student when it comes to accommodation options. There are both private and shared apartments for the TEFL students in Barcelona to choose from. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain, behind Madrid, and there is no end of choices of hostels and hotels to suit every budget.

Course Fees

The 120 hour, Island TEFL, Barcelona course is very inexpensive when compared to the competition. Our course is priced at 1,139 Euros (approx. U.S.$1,490).

For those graduates that wish to go on to Thailand and receive a guaranteed teaching placement of 5 or 12 months or longer, the price of the 5 day, preparatory Thai Culture and Teacher Training course, that is held in either the exotic location of Bangkok or Phuket, Thailand, is only 369 Euros (approx. U.S. $478). This price includes 5 nights accommodation.

Where will you be staying in Barcelona during your Island TEFL training course?

With our training center located in the heart of this beautiful city and within walking distance of the University of Barcelona, your accommodation choices are almost unlimited. To help in the selection of the accommodation that suits you best, however, you may want to consider the following:

The typical cost of a modest single apartment with one private bedroom starts at 600 Euros (approx. U.S. $790) for one person and 700 Euros (approx. U.S. $924 )for a couple for the duration of the course. Shared apartments are also available and the cost of these apartments range from between 300 to 500 Euros (approx. U.S. $395 - $660.) One month’s deposit has to be paid before arriving in Barcelona to secure these accommodation options.

Please note that upon completion of the TEFL/TESOL Certification program candidates have the option to undertake a 5 day Thai Culture and Teaching in Thailand course which is held in Bangkok or Phuket, Thailand. This will be followed by an offer of a guaranteed, paid teaching placement, of up to 12 months in a government school in Thailand. Shorter teaching placements of 5 months are also available.

Thai Culture and Teaching in Thailand Course Fees:

The fees for this component of the program, including 5 nights’ accommodation, are 369 Euros or U.S. $478 if combined with the Island TEFL course above.

For those that already hold an accredited TEFL certification the cost of this course is 379 Euros or $499 U.S. excluding accommodation.
