The due date of payment of the deposit will be advised by email once the application has been accepted and processed.
The deposit can be paid by credit card (through PayPal), via PayPal, bank transfer or cash (if already at the course location).
Whether paid by bank transfer or PayPal, all bank fees and fees charged by PayPal must be met by the payer.
The accepted currency for Payment via PayPal is Thai Baht.
The accepted currencies for payment by cash are Thai Baht, British Pounds, Euros or U.S. Dollars.

BALANCE OF COURSE FEES:

The balance amount in Thai Baht will be calculated on day one of your course using www.xe.com
The balance can be paid by bank transfer (again, all bank fees to be met by the payer), however this must be done at least 7 days before the course start date. Requests to pay by bank transfer after that date will be declined. If the conversion rate on the date of the transfer differs from the conversion rate on day one of the course, an adjustment will be made either way.
Failure to pay the balance by the end of day one of the course will result in a Late Payment Penalty of 3% of the balance amount. This penalty will be applied on a daily basis, until the full balance amount is paid.
Failure to pay the balance by the end of the first week of the course will result in the placement being cancelled.

REFUND POLICY

The deposit amount is non-refundable

If you are unable to attend the selected course, so long as you give at least 30 days notice, the deposit can be transferred to another available course date within a period of 12 months from the original course date. This can only be done once. If you can not make the rearranged course date, you will forfeit your deposit.
If you are unable to commence or complete the course due to exceptional circumstances, such as a serious accident/illness or the urgent necessity to return home (proof of this, e.g. a plane ticket, may need to be provided) you will be afforded the opportunity (subject to availability) to start the course (if never started) or complete the course (if started but not completed) at a later date within 12 months from the original start date.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
As a service to its trainees, Island TEFL may assist with accommodation if requested. If the hotel manager requests advance payment for booking accommodation, Island TEFL will inform the trainee at the time such a request is made. Please note that Island TEFL does not give any guarantee that the accommodation you sign up for has the amenities you were initially told it would have and urges you to be careful with assumptions. We are operating in Southeast Asia and assumptions and expectations often vary drastically. If you are not happy with your accommodation for any reason, it is up to you to sort out the problem(s) with the accommodation management. Island TEFL only acts as your agent to secure your accommodation and do not get involved in any dispute process between you and the management. Please be warned that Island TEFL takes no responsibility if the amenities you were expecting, even if we told you that you could expect such amenities, do not match what the accommodation management is providing you. For this reason we advise students to source and check out their own accommodations.

In the event that you do not attend or complete the course, the refund of any remaining accommodation component for the balance of the uncompleted course will need to be negotiated between the hotel and trainee, and is at the discretion of the hotel, bearing in mind that a revised rate may well be determined on a daily rather than monthly basis. Island TEFL will take no part in this process.
